And here is her story. By the way, you can see some of my favorite creatures on the sides of this page.
We always liked to collect something with my mom. When we lived in Hungary we collected mushrooms in the forest. At least we were able to eat those so it was a useful activity.
After we moved to South Florida we had to stop collectiong mushrooms because we would die from the presticide. So we started collecting seashells. We loved to get up in the early morning when it was still dark outside and spent few hours on the beach collecting shells. After a while we had less and less space and more and more shells in our home.

How do you like my new hat?
How do you like my new hat?
Unfortunately that time my mom was already diagnosed with Parkinson disease and after a couple years she had to stop working.
She was pretty bored and depressed to stay home alone most of the time. Slowly she started playing with the shells and puting them together. This helped to improve her mood and the time went faster.
Usually it takes hours of searching to find the properly shaped and colored shells.
She asked me to buy a glue gun and started covering picture frames, mirrors and crosses.
Of course she burned her fingers many times.
After a while she was bored with these crafts so she used her fantasy. It's interesting that many people with Parkinson turns to be artistic.
The next step was to create bigger animals - mostly frogs. More and more kind of animals and creatures were born and during the years they got smaller and smaller.
We figured out that she's really creative. Now she mostly enjoys the miniature ones.
They are really cute.
You cannot make two animals exactly the same, all of them have different "personality".
We tried to sell them but they are too fragile to ship so we decided to put an e-photo album together. Hopefully this album will inspire others and give a good idea how somebody can have fun with these gorgeous sea shells.
